Evaluation ADDITIONAL - JUNE 2026 (date of publication of the evaluation: 03.06.2026)
In accordance with the recommendation of the Breeding Council of the Polish Federation of Cattle Breeders and Dairy Producers of July 1, 2025, the Genetic Center has increased the frequency of breeding value evaluation for PHF bulls to six times a year. On June 3, 2026, we will publish the results of the breeding value evaluation of young bulls for the June 2026 season in a dedicated file. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the list of bulls and their results.
Criteria for publishing breeding values and indexes
The ADDITIONAL - JUNE 2026 evaluation has been made available on the website, presenting the official breeding values of Polish Holstein-Friesian bulls of the black-and-white and red-and-white varieties estimated using the Single-Step Genomic Evaluation (ssGBLUP) method, which combines phenotypic, pedigree and genomic information in a single statistical model.
The following codes have been introduced to specify the data source used to estimate the breeding value using the single-step method:
- G - bull genotype was included in the national evaluation
- GI - bull genotype and MACE were included in the national evaluation
THE EVALUATION RESULTS include estimated breeding values for the traits of milk yield, conformation, fertility, somatic cell count, longevity (survival), milking capacity, calving, hoof health and the PF index calculated on their basis, together with subindices. The breeding value for a given trait is considered official if the criteria given in the evaluation methods are met.
